Waterjet/Abrasive waterjet cutting is a non-traditional machining process that material is removed, without any thermal effect, by erosion process. By adding garnet or hard particles into the waterjet stream, a higher machinability can be achieved and almost every kind of material can be cut. The operating waterjet pressure is generally 60,000 psi. However, the ultra-high waterjet pump can provide the pressure up to 100,000 psi.
